Welcome, and thank you for visiting Hutchison United Methodist Church online. We hope that our website highlights the wide variety of worship, fellowship and service opportunities available. Please feel free to read more about our church on this site, or come in for a visit. We would love to greet you and share with you our love for Jesus Christ and for you, our neighbor.

Our Mission

We believe that the door to salvation is always open.  Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus by opening our arms to those in search of the truth. We show God’s love and concern for our fellow man at every opportunity. Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.

Holy Communion

The table of Holy Communion is Christ's table, not the table of The United Methodist Church or of our local congregation. Christ our Lord invites to His table all who love Him, who earnestly repent of their sin and seek to live in peace with one another.  Here at Hutchison U.M.C., we have Communion the first Sunday of the month unless otherwise noted in our announcements.

Missions We Support

Bourbon County "Operation Food Basket"

Operation Food Basket is an emergency food source for residents of Bourbon County which is open Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 10 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.  OFB is located in the basement of the City Building at 525 High Street in Paris. Volunteers from 17 churches besides Hutchison UMC staff the daily food distribution. The food basket is funded by donations from churches, church members, other members of the community and various food drives conducted by businesses, churches, schools and civic groups. To make a contribution to OFB contact Betty Florence at 987-2151 or give through your church.  Greg Wade is our liaison to this excellent local program.
