Our Pastor, the Reverend James Groves
Pastor Jim was born and raised in Findlay, Ohio. He graduated with degrees from Bluffton College and Asbury Theological Seminary. After being a pastor for 35 years in Ohio, he and his wife, Pamela, moved to Kentucky whre he was pastor of the Dunaway United Methodist Church. In 2015, he was appointed to serve as pastor of the Hutchison United Methodist Church and is the current pastor here. Jim and Pam have two children, Bethany and Benjamin and a daughter-in-law Emily.
Worship Leader, Tracie Dunn
Tracie grew up in a small coal mining/farming community of southern Illinois. Very early on she took organ lessons, played the clarinet in band, and sang in her school choir. As a member of the Pinckneyville United Methodist Church, she grew up singing in their choir as well. After graduating from Midway College in Kentucky, she met and married her husband Gary; they have two boys. Tracie is a cancer survivor and enjoys horseback riding and camping when she isn’t working on their cattle farm.
Lay Leader and Pianist, Judy Wade
Judy was born in Glasgow, Kentucky. She took piano lessons starting at age 10 until graduating from high school and played clarinet in the band. She and her husband Greg met attending the University of Kentucky, married after graduation and later moved to Paris. Judy, an RN , and Greg, a dental technologist worked at the VA hospital. They have been church members since 1985 and have a daughter married with a grandson.
